Our Maine Coon Baby Loves

We have grown as you can see compared to what Gumball was like in this post. He was teeny tiny then. Not anymore. Gumball has grown into a very beautiful boy. He is now 2 years 9 months old.

We have also adopted 2 of his half-siblings who were born 6 months after him Darwin and Skips.

.

Gumball in one of his snooze mood.

Gumball's "talk-to-the-hand" aka do not disturb sign.

This is Skips trying on a bit of statement jewelry which in fact suits her better than on me. I took it off after taking the photo. It was a tad too heavy for her. Skips is quite feisty and not very shy but she absolutely adores my husband and loves a fuss. Not to mention the treats.

And last but definitely not least, Darwin. He is very timid and shy but absolutely lovely. He purrs the moment he sees you and massively enjoys a cuddle and a lot of fussing. He's very playful and loves a good chase game. He also loves his food. Skips and Darwin are 2 years and 2 months old and doesn't stop growing until they are 3. Darwin is currently 9.5 kgs. He gives the best cuddles not only because of his size, but because he lets me cuddle him for as long as I want. :-)

Our babies. We adore them.

Crochet Flowers Headband Tutorial DIY

I have made lots of headbands for Ashley and this seems to be my favorite. We have gifted them to friends and they seem to like it too!

I used some vintage cotton yarn and had to use 2 or 5 strings together to achieve the thickness I need. You can use a 4ply for the small flowers and a double knit on the big flower.

Materials:
Cotton yarn (or whichever one you prefer)
Crochet hook 3mm for the big flower
Crochet hook 2mm on the small flowers
18 inches suede strings x3
black ponytail
gluegun or any strong glue you already have
cotton thread to match your flowers

Flower Pattern:

1. Make a magic ring and do 6 sc into the ring. Slip stitch.
2.  *Chain 2 and slip stitch to the next sc* repeat 5 times. You can change color from this point or carry on with the same color.

Added a few flat backed pearls on each of them and placed  the flowers on the suede plaited strings. I sewed them instead of gluing it on but you can for the process to be quicker.
Enjoy!

Bartlett Car Coat Free Pattern

Baby cardigan pattern by Robyn Chachula which has a free pattern which you can find here. Petite Purls has very cute free patterns contributed by different people who crochets and knits.
Isn't this cardigan adorable? And I'm impartial to purple so this caught my eye.

I hope you enjoy making your cardigan and wrapping your baby warm with it!

Beautiful baby shoes

Babies babies babies.... not to say that I'm getting broody but I just love babies. They are so tiny, so cute and so vulnerable, all the emotions that stir up your "mommy feelings".

So, browsing through the net, I found these absolutely crazy cute little feet shoes!

These are from a fellow Filipino who loves to crochet. Head out to Moiracrochets page to have a go at doing these adorable shoes! Best of luck!
