11 lbs lost just by drinking coffee!

I'm very busy with family and work, I barely have enough time to do all the work I need to accomplish. But that's the same with a lot of people nowadays. I'm not whining or complaining. At the moment, that's just how it's working out.

I have refused to diet for years now (roughly 5 to 6 years) reasoning that I am tired already, surely I don't want to be hungry either if I can help it. That's when I started piling on the pounds. Clothes getting tighter and forcing (not quite forced as I love shopping too!) me to buy bigger clothes. From 62kgs, I have gained roughly around 25% of that and I am getting miserable. Time to make a change.

I met someone advertising a free coffee sample that's supposed to help me battle the snacking, give me focus and clarity as well as heaps of energy during the day. I tried it and loved it. It gave me a back bone to say no to treats. I have also made it a rule not to deprive myself. That if I want a bar of my favorite treat, I can have one. Only one. Or if I don't particularly want to count my calories, I started halving what I eat. I halved my lunch and dinner portions and made sure I ate breakfast even if it meant a bowl of cornflakes and my special coffee. It does stop the body's sleep mode and start the metabolism going.

You see, I don't exercise. I can find time if I want to. I'm just too lazy to. I walk in my job racking from 8k-12k steps a shift so I'm thinking that's enough for me. I drank my coffee and ate less. To date, I've lost 11lbs and I'm hurrahing! (If that's a legit word.)
